  • He Shops at Tiff’s.

So my wonderful English TA once against strikes 10 points in my heart for sharing a brief summary of his Valentine’s day well-spent last week. Although he wasn’t really intending to tells us, I had to urge him on because he said that one word that could hardly escape my ears: “Tiffany’s”

My heart started pounding. I had to stop him before he decides to start talking about some obsolete author. So I raised my hand up and asked, “John, so what did you buy?”

He said with a poised voice: “A Ring.”

(And then he went on telling us that the minute he enter those doors, all he saw were men everywhere picking out jewelery just in time for V-day. He also said that, though there were a great number of men shopping at Tiffany’s, he could not help but see that most men were picking out such ugly jewelery at the same time. “Some yellow gold, platinum, thing…” Of course, how can I ever underestimate my beautiful TA? He MUST have good taste. His taste in clothes is just mind-blowing. Although  he did dress down today, he looked more like an AE mannequin.)

I was giggling along with Kaitlin, I didn’t want to assume that it was an engagement ring, so I thought it might just be those sentimental couple rings. But Veronica beat me to the question..

“Did she say yes?” Veronica asked.

I forgot what John said but it was some long word, but all in all, the answer was that she said “Yes.”

I could not help but utter a long “AWwwwww” and scrunch up and wipe a tear from my right eye. I really can’t stand engagement stories, they’re just everywhere, and they break my heart all the time… in a good way.

Are you good with engagement stories? Do they make you happy? teary? jealous? disgusted?

  • I was supposed to be doing my report cards tonight, but I took a ‘nap’ that turned out to be waaaay too long. Anyway, during my nap, I had some dreams, and you were in one of them!

Okay. For some reason, I was talking to you in your appartment, and it looked as though you lived somewhere tropical. And you were holding your cat, and you passed it to me to hold & you said, “My cat’s so different, it’s really nice to people, etc, etc…” (because you know how cats are usually not always people-friendly & they like to be on their own). So I’m holding your cat & it’s all tame & it’s not squirming around…. It’s just SWEET & so soft!! I also distinctly remember that it was declawed (uh, I’m not so into de-clawing cats in real life) and that its paws were SOOOO soft!

Then for some reason you’re not there ’cause you left maybe, and my mom shows up (?!). And I show her the cat because I’m still holding it. And it kinda jumps out of my arms. And my mom’s like, “That’s not a cat! It’s just a little dachshund!!” And I’m like, “Oh yeah!! It is! Ellen doesn’t know that her cat’s a dog!”

And then that dream ended & I had some other ones.
Isn’t that weird…?! But it was so vivid! I really remember your cat/dog being really nice & soft!

  • No worries but thanks for being interested in coming and have a great time in NYC. Tell lady liberty I said hi!

This year the fundraiser is at Innis Town Hall. It’s more like a concert hall which is both good and bad. Good because more people can come, bad because more people = more stage fright for me!

Oh I’m a York student, though I did apply to innis too, coincidentally enough, they rejected me. It’s alright though, I think that the individual makes their university experience not the university making the individual’s experience.

How can engagement stories be bad?!?!?! I think we all secretly enjoy those kinds of stories and draw hope from them thinking, “one day that will be me but my story will be better!”. I know mine will! My futre engament story Iwill have be centred around one of those lolipop rings that I’ll buy from sugar mountain…14 karats of sugar! Oh yeah!
