  • Serenity.

Now I understand why my sister became a great interior designer that she is, because no matter what world, what situation you are in, what life brings, your home/room is your sanctuary you can depend on. She lived in her room, likewise — I live in my room now. I don’t consider the house that I live in; my “home”. The mismatch of furniture and colours of the wall repels me, and also, the many problems that live under this roof makes me find a corner to stay put in. So as a result, I resort to my room as a relief.

Yep, I designed my own room. I would put up a picture, but it’s very messy right now. The mess in my room often reflects my mood in reality. It’s ironic.

My interest in interior designing may have stemmed from me looking up at my sister while growing up. The fights she had to take in order to win in life. I saw her down in the dumps and look where she is now. After countless physical abuse from dad, bad boyfriends, moving in and out, three jobs at one time to afford university and her car, and one cigarette after another, she is still a rock in my life. No matter how hard life is, she had it worse, and I always look up to her for that.

    I miss my sister(s).

These are just some ideas I would like to see in my future dwelling. I hope my future husband loves to shop for decor, cause if he doesn’t, his wallet will.

People who know me, know that I love pillows. Now that I think about it, I need more gold accents in my room.

I just want to sit here, watch the sunset and relax.

  • wow – the word serenity really sums up your pics =)
made me feel really relaxed just looking that the photos – i hope that when we finally have our own houses we’ll design them like the above photos =)
anyways – miss you so much hun =(
and your bday cake is still sitting in my freezer lol! =P
    but i hope you’re doing good =)

  • you got good taste.  i like zen architecture and interior decorating too. :)

  • i cannot wait to get my own place and decorate it just the way i want to.  i’ve already told myself that i won’t move out until i can afford nice furnishings.  whats the point of having a great condo if you’re sleeping on a futon and using hand-me-down furniture?

omg and i would love to have a kitchen like those ones.

  • I like danish furniture, metal kitchens, light wood floors. I’m gonna be very stickler when picking out my nice pieces. The guy on the radio made a good point yesterday, “You see all those people that live on the lake with huge patios? Notice how the patios are always empty? That’s because they are workaholics, they never get to spend time on their decks in their nice houses. Their wives do, their kids do, but not them.”

ryc: I think the guy should do it, but… sometimes, girls never give any hints before the dtr, so he can’t tell if he’s in or not, so he doesn’t make the move. This is more confusing when the girl has a lot of guy friends or if he can’t tell if she treats him any different from any of her other guy friends.

Sometimes I feel girls (the tru playas fo’ reals types) just want the guy to come on full steam, so they can find out that the guy is crazy for her, then find a way to reject him.

But c’mon. If we’re spending a lot of time with each other and she obviously enjoys hanging out with me as much as I do her, then I’ve got to step up to the plate, right? =)

  • Those pictures are nice and all, but they lack something for me :P lol I don’t know.. maybe it’s cause it’s TOO perfect and TOO nice that it seems like it wouldn’t be very comfortable (I’d always be worried that something would be out of place!) – but then again I’m someone that leaves my clothes out on the carpet and has a gazillion stuffed animals and funky pictures/paintings up on my walls :)

(I really like that kitchen with the center island though!! And I love that backyard patio thing!)
