  • Snooze.

    Have anyone experienced the ineffectiveness of the Snooze Button? I do, every – single- morning. Oh naive me have a desire to wake up at 7 am and perhaps catch a little fresh air of  30 minutes of jogging (JUST like Cathie Black does every morning), and do whatever I need to do, like make lunch or breakfast, do extra readings for school, look over business (JUST like Cathie Black) etc etc.

    But for the past few weeks. I’ve snoozed over 2 hours everyday. As in, I set my alarm at 7am, and I keep hitting the snooze button continuously for every 8 minutes that it rings throughout the 2 hours — until 9 am, when my body decides to wake up by itself.

    Wait, let me strike out my calculator and see how many times I’ve actually hit the Snooze button in 2 hours: 15 times.

    Sickening, I know. How does one person sleep through 15 snooze alarms? I don’t know, I tend to go back to REM sleep too!!!

    Any suggestions on how to live a more productive morning?

  • and you want running shoes, for decoration, i suppose?

  • lol I always do that too.. except my alarm goes for 9 minutes
    I plan to wake up at 8AM for 9AM class and end up snoozing until 8:40 and then I only get 10 – 15 minutes to shower/eat/dress before heading out the door to walk to class…

  • I do that snooze button thingy too =P
    Some ppl say to throw your cell across the room (well…don’t have to literally throw but place it gently waaaaayyyy across the room) so that it *forces you to get up out of your bed and therefore wake you up.
    unfortunately that doens’t work for me =P I end up just crawling back into bed but try it! It’s supposed to work!
    And to train your body to wake up – expose yourself to bright light when you wake up – even just turn on your light cause your body will turn on it’s waking mechanisms when light enters your eyes =) (I’m taking a biology of sleep course =P)

    Hope that helps!!
    Miss ya!!
    Janice =)

  • whoops, or if you actually use a real alarm – place your alarm across the room =)
    I use my cell phone as my alarm =P

  • I consciously hit it once, unconsciously three times. Maybe you need a wakeup call instead…
