  • Music.

I think music is what keeps me human. I really do think so. It’s what put the emotions back in me, despite the corporate environment that I am in.

We tend to put our most vulnerable self in lyrical form. And then you read those words, whilst listening to the soothing melody, knowing that the singer and along with thousands other people around the world are feeling the exact same feeling that you are feeling now. Extraordinary.

  • Me too. Lately I’ve been… “blah” (probably the best term to describe it), and have turned to music for support. Then I realized how significant music is in my life. But now I need new music! Anything good? :)

  • @Ohs0y - Haha, actually, my repeats right now are the songs you had on your imeem player on the side of your page. What are you into/in the mood for nowadays?

  • it really is amazing how some people can put feelings into words. I’ve tried more to listen to the composition of the song instead of judging it solely on its sound. I’ve found more meaning looking at the music that way and it has given me a newfound respect for the songwriters that may not have garnered the kind of commercial regards as their other counterparts. then there are the songs that have the right lyrics and are lucky enough to have the right sound. I caught one the other day listening to my car radio; it was by The Carpenters and the song was Rainy Days and Mondays.

    good post.

  • @secret_agent_nelle - Hmmm, I’ve been emo so DEFINITELY no emo music. I guess something upbeat and bubbly. but IF it is “emo”, then at least it be something that I could sing my heart out with!

  • wait!  did you say you’d sing me a song a year ago?  ;)
